About me

I am a humanistic counsellor, meaning I put you at the centre of the session to ensure you have the space, time, and respect to talk about whatever you need to, whether that's to do with work, home, relationships, or something else.

I believe that the relationship between us is what makes counselling work - I want to ensure you feel comfortable and safe bringing the discomfiting aspects of your life to the surface so they can be processed.

To help make that happen, I offer a short introductory call, to get a little more context. If you decide to go ahead and book in with me after that, I will email you a contract (a list of what you can expect from me and what I expect from you) for you to agree to, sign and send back to me so we can book in the first session.

The first session will be an assessment of your needs and what you hope to achieve by having counselling, and after that you can book in as you need to, though I do recommend no more than a week or two break between sessions, especially if we're actively working through something specific.
