About me
Hello, I'm Danny, an Integrative Counsellor based in Norwich.
I aim to support you on your counselling journey. Whether you are located in Norwich or elsewhere in the UK, I provide private, confidential sessions both in person at my city centre premises and online. Together, we will address your challenges in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
I employ a blend of theories and techniques tailored to your unique needs, helping you explore your concerns and discover the most effective approach for your well-being.
Let us work together to remodel your struggles into opportunities for growth, enabling you to thrive and achieve your fullest potential.
Before I became a counsellor, I was on a journey of self-discovery, often feeling lost and disconnected from the world around me. From a young age, I knew I was gay and struggled with undiagnosed dyslexia, which made me feel isolated and misunderstood. The lack of support and understanding led me to develop unhealthy coping strategies, such as eating disorders and OCD.
However, counselling became an opportunity for change in my life. Through this transformative process, I learned ways to overcome and understand the challenges that had held me back. This journey healed me and ignited a passion within me to help others. I realised how profoundly our experiences shape our behaviours and the importance of having someone to guide us through tough times.
Inspired by my healing, I decided to become a counsellor. I aim to support others in finding their way, just as I found mine. Helping others see that they are not alone, are understood, and can overcome their struggles to lead fulfilling lives.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BSc(Hons) in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and I am a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
For the past four years, I have worked with clients that have been victims of sexual abuse resulting in complex trauma.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
