About me

I believe strongly in each person’s capacity for growth, and I’m passionate about supporting people as they develop and move towards their full potential. My background includes working within the charity sector, supporting individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, as well as working with people and families affected by the criminal justice system. These experiences have taught me how important it is to meet each person with empathy, respect, and understanding.

People come to therapy for many different reasons, and you’re welcome to bring whatever feels important to you. I frequently work with anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, stress, and those moments in life where you may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of the way forward. Whatever you’re navigating, we can explore it together in a supportive, non‑judgemental space.

In my therapeutic work, I believe that we all carry experiences from our past that can shape how we feel, relate, and respond in the present — sometimes in ways that no longer serve us. Together, we take time to explore these experiences at your pace, creating space for deeper awareness and the possibility of change. My aim is to offer a safe and consistent relationship where you can reflect openly, connect with your own insights, and begin to make sense of the patterns that may be holding you back.

Next Steps

If you’re considering therapy but aren’t sure where to start, I offer a free 15 minute consultation. It’s a chance for us to talk, ask questions, and see if my approach feels like a good match for what you need.

If we go ahead, sessions are 50 minutes and held weekly at an agreed time, giving us a consistent space to work together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
