About me
Hello, I'm Danielle, an integrative MBACP registered counsellor working from my private practice in the Romney Marsh area. I'm here to offer you a compassionate, safe space where we can work together to explore the challenges you're facing and work towards reconnecting with your inner strength. Whether you're dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or feeling a little stuck, I believe in the power of healing through collaboration, kindness, and theoretical understanding.
I draw from a variety of approaches, including person-centred, transactional analysis, psychodynamic, and cognitive therapies. I also have other specific training in working with couples and relationships, so I may draw from relational models. This flexible, personalised approach enables me to tailor our sessions to meet your needs, providing the greatest opportunity for meaningful change. I also place great importance on the mind-body connection, and I use trauma-informed techniques to support you through any past experiences that may be impacting your present.
I have a particular experience supporting those facing bereavement, baby loss, infertility, and perinatal trauma both professionally and through my own personal journey. I understand how isolating these experiences can feel, and I am here to offer a compassionate, empathetic presence as you work through these profound challenges.
The heart of my work is the relationship I build with my clients. I truly believe that a strong, trusting connection is key to creating lasting change. It’s a privilege to be part of someone’s journey, and I’m dedicated to providing the support you need as you move toward healing and growth.
I offer both short-term and long-term counselling for individuals, couples, and those with issues in other relationships, such as between family members, for those aged 16 and over. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or looking to explore deeper, long-term growth, I am here to guide you at your own pace. We’ll work together to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and discover new ways of coping and moving forward.
Your therapy sessions are a dedicated space just for you. I understand that beginning therapy can feel daunting, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. We’ll take the time to explore your goals, answer your questions, and ensure you feel comfortable with the process. I work with you to create a flexible plan that suits your needs, and we can work together for as long as you feel is right for you.
A Warm, Comfortable Space with a Sense of Calm
My practice is based in the peaceful Romney Marsh area, offering a comfortable, discreet, confidential environment for our sessions. The space is easily accessible, with close proximity to public transport, parking, and ground-floor entry, ensuring a convenient and private setting for our time together.
Starting therapy is a brave step, and I’m here to support you at your own pace. Whether you're ready to begin or just need time to reflect, I would be honoured to walk beside you through whatever you are facing. Together, we can work toward a brighter, more fulfilling future. I offer a free assessment over the phone, but your first therapy session is an opportunity to share with me what brought you to therapy and explore how we can work together for you to get the most from it. This is a brave step, and I will do my best to put you at ease.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
