About me
If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or like you’re constantly pushing through stress just to get through the day - you’re not alone. Whether it’s work pressure, people-pleasing, overthinking, or just feeling stuck and exhausted, it can be hard to make sense of everything on your own.
I’m Danielle, an experienced and compassionate therapist offering a calm space to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and start to feel more like you again. Sessions are available online UK-wide or in-person (DE73).
I work with adults and young people who are dealing with:
- Anxiety, panic or overthinking
- Work-related stress & burnout
- Low self-esteem or self-doubt
- Neurodivergence (including ADHD)
- Loss, grief or relationship difficulties
- And other emotional life changes
You don’t need to have it all figured out. Whatever you're carrying, we can explore it together - gently and at your pace. If you’re curious about working together, I offer a free 20-minute consultation - a chance to chat, ask questions, and see if I feel like the right fit.
Training, qualifications & experience
🎓 Training & Professional Background
I hold an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Derby and am an Accredited Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP, Accred).
My approach is integrative, which means I draw on a blend of therapeutic models depending on what you need. The core of my work is shaped by:
- Person-centred therapy – creating a warm, non-judgemental space
- CBT – helping gently shift unhelpful thinking patterns
- Attachment theory – exploring how early relationships shape how we relate now
I’m committed to ongoing professional development and regularly update my training so my work stays thoughtful, ethical and grounded in current research.
🌿 Experience & Who I Work With
Over the years, I’ve supported people in a range of settings, including a sixth-form college, an NHS staff counselling service, and in private practice. I’ve worked with a wide range of issues, but most often support people who are struggling with:
- Anxiety, overthinking or panic
- Work-related stress, burnout or overwhelm
- Low self-esteem, perfectionism or self-doubt
- Feeling stuck, disconnected or emotionally exhausted
I also welcome clients who are neurodivergent and offer a therapy space that’s affirming, flexible and understanding of different ways of being in the world.
If you’re feeling lost, anxious, or just not sure where to start, you’re not alone and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself. I’m here to support you at your own pace, with care and without pressure.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I offer all new clients a complimentary 20-minute consultation. This gives us a space to explore what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and whether we feel like the right fit to work together.
If you decide to continue, sessions are 50 minutes and offered at £60. Our first session builds on the consultation, allowing us to begin developing a shared understanding of your experiences and to shape a pace and direction that feels right for you.
Meaningful change takes time. Therapy offers a consistent, supportive space to explore your inner world, helping you build deeper understanding and create lasting, sustainable shifts.
I'm a recognised provider with AXA Health, Vitality, Aviva, and WPA. If you have private medical insurance, it’s worth checking with your provider to see if your sessions can be covered.
