About me
Hi, my name is Dan and I’m an experienced integrative BACP accredited therapist supporting those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, low self-esteem, bereavement along with the many other challenges that we might encounter as human beings.
I have a humanistic, holistic, person-centred core approach which is informed by various theoretical frameworks so my approach tailors the work to your specific needs. I will aim to meet you at wherever you are at and together we can explore your thoughts and feelings and work to find a way forward for you. Therapy can allow you space to consider your relationship with yourself and others and help promote understanding, self-awareness and change. Alongside that it might be useful to develop some strategies to cope with whatever you are experiencing.
I believe that through the power of the therapeutic relationship we can be empowered to grow and I therefore strive to offer a calming, friendly, supportive and confidential space to talk things through.
I offer face-to-face appointments and online appointments on Mon, Tues and Weds.
What to expect on our first session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to see how we might work together. We can explore what brings you to counselling, where you are at in your life at the moment and what your hopes are for the future. From there we can arrange further weekly or fortnightly sessions. I offer both short and longer term support.
Next step
It is important to find a therapist that is right for you and that you feel comfortable working with. So I offer a 15 minute free informal initial consultation by phone. This provides an opportunity to discuss your needs and expectations, and gives you a better understanding of who I am, what I can offer, and allows you to ask me any questions that you may have. Drop me an email and we can arrange an initial chat. I look forward to working with you.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
