About me

An accredited BACP counsellor, working with adults, young people and children from all backgrounds with different past experiences, cultures, ethnicity and diversity. If you feel you have nobody to talk to, confide in or feel others will not understand you or your past, this is the place for you to be heard and understood.

Would You Like a Change In Your Life?

Whatever troublesome thoughts, feelings or emotions, you may have and been dealing with by yourself. Here is the place to come to receive the warm, welcoming safe space in which you may need. Whether there is a specific known issue you wish to address, or just a feeling that something may be wrong.

Working with you

The foundation of the work begins with a warm, non judgemental environment with an empathic ear to listen and truly hear the client. Working together with use of exploration questions to help clients to gain a greater understanding and insight into their problems and maybe the solutions that they seek. As every client is individual and past experience different, the way of working is reflective of this by using and mixing different counselling approaches to best suit to individual client. This can be a mixed of the person centred approach, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy.

By you being truly listened to and being understood. Allowing you to reflect and process what is going on for yourself, then shift and change what is not wanted in your life. Including outlook on life, yourself and unhealthy thought patterns. If you need help creating a clear plan of action for yourself or would like support in working towards your goals, this space provided can invigorate this. Speaking to a counsellor when you feel you are not able to cope can help ease the burden you may have on yourself.

Please get in touch via email to discuss your needs and ask any questions about the potential service that can be provided for you. Together at the end of therapeutic process we aim for you to gain a positive outcome.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
