About me
You may be under pressure to ‘hold it all together’, while underneath there is anxiety, low mood, or strain in your relationships. Many of my clients are successful professionals who feel they should be coping better or managing these difficulties alone. Clients often tell me they value having space to slow down, think clearly, ‘get things out’, and be understood without judgement.
I am a Person-Centred Counsellor with a PhD in Psychology. I offer a warm, open, and evidence-based approach to therapy, bringing emotional and professional understanding to help you make sense of what you are experiencing.
What brings people to therapy with me
Clients often describe feeling caught between their external achievements and their inner lives. Things may look successful on paper, but internally there can be exhaustion, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, or a loss of meaning. Constant pressure, high standards, responsibility, or a particular challenge can become overwhelming.
About me
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade as a consultant in demanding professional environments across the UK, Europe, and Australia, leading complex change projects. Experiencing these pressures first-hand, and the impact they can have on identity and wellbeing, led me into psychology and counselling.
Alongside my therapy practice, I hold an affiliate postdoctoral research position at the London School of Economics (LSE), where my work focuses on careers, identity, and wellbeing, with research published in outlets including Current Psychology, MIT Sloan Management Review, and the World Economic Forum.
How we'll work together
Therapy offers a trusted and emotionally attuned relationship where difficult thoughts and feelings can be explored safely. This can help reduce the grip of unhelpful thoughts or patterns, deepen self-understanding, and connect with your values in ways that support meaningful change.
I work with anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, leadership pressure, career transitions, and questions of identity and purpose. Through therapy with me, clients often report feeling less overwhelmed by negative thoughts, sleep better, have difficult conversations, face issues they’ve been avoiding, make decisions with greater clarity and confidence, and reconnect with what matters to them.
I offer 50-minute sessions online or in Newbury, and a free 15-minute introductory conversation.
Training, qualifications & experience
I work with a wide range of issues including stress, anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, and loss, especially when these are related to work. I support clients with work- and career-related concerns, including early career decision-making, career and retirement transitions, leadership pressures, identity and purpose at work, and the emotional impact of long-term responsibility.
Clients often come to therapy feeling under sustained pressure, holding high standards, or carrying a sense that they should be coping alone. I offer a safe, confidential, and compassionate space where we can explore what has brought you to therapy, your personal history, and what you would like to be different.
My background in psychology and professional consulting informs my work, but therapy is always shaped by your pace, priorities, and what feels most important to you.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
