About me
Hello :)
Are you feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges or struggling with confidence? I’m Daniel, and I offer a supportive and empathetic space where you can explore your feelings and be held in your journey of self-discovery and growth. My focus is on gentle guidance and a deep commitment to your well-being, helping you navigate through tough times and celebrate your successes with care and humour too!
How Can I Help You?
I’m here to address a wide range of issues that might be affecting your daily life, including:
- Anxiety and Panic Attacks
- LGBTQ+ Issues and Sex
- Depression and Low Self-Esteem
- Lack of Confidence and Stress
- Student and Work-Related Stress
- Suicidal Thoughts
- Men’s Issues
- Addiction
- Body Confidence
My Approach
I combine my background in cognitive-behavioural therapy with a person-centred approach to create a personalised and holistic treatment plan. Here’s how I work:
- Gentle and Empathetic: I provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings.
- Curiosity-driven: I encourage self-discovery and personal growth through thoughtful questions and reflections.
- Goal-Oriented: I tailor our sessions to meet your specific needs and aspirations.
Why Choose Me?
My approach is unique because of my:
- Comprehensive Training: I started with cognitive-behavioural therapy and later specialised in supporting individuals with drug and alcohol issues, as well as those experiencing work-related stress. Nowadays, I work extensively with the LGBTQ+ community.
- Extensive Experience: I’ve worked with Employee Assistance Programs, dealing with a variety of challenges including suicidal risk, ADHD, and workplace stress. I now have over 7 years of therapeutic experience under my belt and continue to develop and hone my clinical practice.
- Passionate Commitment: I genuinely care about your journey and focus on empowering you to continue your personal development independently.
- Ability to Hold Therapy Lightly: I’m not the serious therapist that you see on TV. I believe that talking to me should feel like talking to an encouraging friend, who won’t bullshit you, will laugh with you, will encourage you and help you feel comfortable in an uncomfortable process.
I hold the following qualifications:
- SCOTACS Diploma in Counselling and Groupwork: A Cognitive-Behavioural Approach
- COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
