About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed by loss, unsure how to move forward, or wondering why your grief feels so heavy—or even confusing? Perhaps you are asking yourself, “Why am I not coping the way I thought I would?” or “Will this feeling ever ease?” You may not even be certain whether what you’re experiencing is grief at all—but you know something doesn’t feel right.
I am a grief counsellor working with adults who are navigating all forms of loss. While grief is often linked to bereavement, it can also follow life changes such as the end of a relationship, changes in health, or shifts in identity. Whatever has brought you here, your experience matters.
I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can begin to make sense of what you are going through. Together, we can gently explore your thoughts and feelings, helping you understand your grief and how it is affecting your life. I believe your grief is as individual as you are, and I will meet you with care, respect, and curiosity.
You might be wondering: “Will talking really help?” “What if I don’t know where to start?” or “Can I say the things I’ve been holding in?” In our work together, there is no pressure to have the ‘right’ words or clear goals. We will go at your pace, allowing space for whatever needs to be expressed.
I offer 50-minute sessions online via Zoom or by telephone, at the same time each week, providing a steady and supportive place for you to be heard.
I also offer a free, no-obligation initial phone conversation. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of whether I feel like the right person to support you.
If you are wondering whether counselling could help, perhaps this is the moment to take that first step.
Training, qualifications & experience
Before qualifying as a counsellor, I gained extensive life experience working in the hospitality industry, supporting people and attending to their needs. This naturally led me towards a deeper role in caring for others.
I began my counselling journey as a bereavement befriender at a local hospice, where I supported individuals experiencing grief alongside complex mental health challenges. This early work provided invaluable insight into the many ways loss can affect us.
After qualifying with a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling from the Counselling & Pastoral Trust, I went on to work for several years with a bereavement charity before establishing my private practice.
I also hold a Diploma in Grief Counselling from the Counselling Institute and a Grief Educator Certificate through training with David Kessler, co-author with Elisabeth Kübler-Ross of On Death and Dying.
I am qualified to offer online and telephone counselling.
My practice is trauma informed.
As part of my ongoing professional development, I regularly attend workshops and seminars and engage in clinical supervision to ensure I provide safe, ethical, and up-to-date support.
The most recent area of interest was deepening my knowledge about twin-loss and the devastating impact this has on the survivor.

Further information
Although I trained as a person-centred therapist, I work in an integrative way, drawing on a range of approaches and resources to best support you as an individual.
Person-centred therapy places you at the heart of the process. It is based on the belief that you are the expert in your own life, and that, with the right support, you can find your own way forward. My role is to offer empathy, acceptance, and a non-judgemental space where you feel truly heard and understood.
I work with adults (18+) and older adults.
My practice is trauma-informed, meaning I am mindful of the impact of past experiences and prioritise creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for our work together.
