About me

I am a qualified psychotherapist offering both online and face-to-face counselling for individuals and couples. I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and periods of emotional overwhelm or transition.

I offer a warm, non-judgmental, and empathetic space where you can explore what’s going on for you at your own pace. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy, which means we may gently explore how past experiences, unconscious patterns, and relational dynamics shape how you feel, think, and relate in the present.

Alongside talking therapy, I bring a strong awareness of the body and emotional experience, supporting you to develop deeper self-understanding, emotional regulation, and compassion towards yourself. Therapy with me is collaborative and reflective, offering space not only to feel heard, but to make sense of what feels difficult or stuck.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in line with their ethical framework. My practice is LGBTQIA+ inclusive and affirmative, and I am committed to ongoing professional development, particularly in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting. I believe that our struggles don’t exist in isolation, but are shaped by the systems, relationships, and histories we are part of. As your therapist, I aim to support you with care, respect, and curiosity as we work towards greater self-awareness, acceptance, and meaningful change.

Training, qualifications & experience

I qualified with a MSc in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Counselling from Birkbeck University.

Alongside my private practice, I bring experience from working with a London-based suicide prevention charity, and I continue to volunteer at a low-cost counselling service in London to support affordable access to therapy.

I have also regular supervision sessions to ensure I uphold the highest ethical standards in my practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
