About me

There are times in our lives when situations and issues can feel challenging and sometimes overwhelming, the first steps in seeking help are often difficult too. My aim is to create a therapeutic space, to help you to discovery your flexible solutions to life's challenges, through talking and/or the use of creative materials. I will be an engaged and active member of the therapy process and will help you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment. My focus is to see your situation through your eyes, and to assist you in gaining a more coherent view of your situation. By exploring issues in depth you will be better equipped to implement changes necessary for you to move forward.

Our first session is an assessment which will give us the opportunity to determine how counselling might be able to help you. We can also check how it feels for us to work together before deciding to continue our counselling sessions.

About Me

I am an Integrative Counsellor and have experience in both short and long-term therapy in a range of therapeutic services to promote, support and facilitate the emotional health and well-being of children, adolescents and adults.

As well as providing psychological therapy to clients within my private practice, I also work with young adults in a large secondary school in the area.

I provide time-limited, evidence based, psychological therapy within a large Employer Assistance company also, with NHS referrals from GP's and Health Care Professionals.

Private Practice

My consulting room is private and comfortable and based in the village of Stilton, directly off the A1M, which is easily commutable from Stamford, Peterborough, Oundle and Huntingdon. Free off street parking.

BACP

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
