About me

Do you feel that you have more questions than answers? Do you ever feel the need to reach out and speak to someone without the fear of being judged and not taken serious?

Life can be tough. It can present different challenges along the way, which cause difficult periods. This can lead to feeling alone and isolated. Counselling means that you do not have to struggle alone.

It is the core of who I am as a person. I like to be there for others when they are faced with a challenge.

As an individual, I can sympathise, with someone who had been through tough times. I recognised the benefits of having someone in reach, and have the choice to share something personal, and be listened to. I believe that there is always an outcome after a struggle, and it does not have to be a negative one.

As a professional, I am a competent, highly motivated, and attentive therapist, which I find my clients warm to quickly.

I offer a warm, empathetic, respectful, and trustworthy approach. My background in Humanistic Integrative prioritises, and focuses on the client-therapist relationship, which is central to a successful therapeutic bond. Within your own pace, we can gradually begin to uncover and explore your thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

To add, I am an intuitive, hardworking individual who is dedicated to cultivating supportive, and stimulating sessions with clients, who are both familiar with, or are experiencing counselling for the first time. I have great organisation skills, and aim to put the knowledge I have gained thus far to ensure all my clients reach a better place within the here, and now.

Within our journey through therapy together, I invite the opportunity for clients to explore the past, work with the here, and now, and look to aim for the future, revisiting familiar patterns of behaviours, or habits, and new aspects about themselves through the use of mindfulness, and coaching.

I have been in private practice for eight years.

My training, education, and experience within the counselling field has provided me with a strong background when working with a wide range of individuals who present various needs.

To name the few, I have worked closely with client's who shared issues with addiction, abuse, relationship issues, bereavement, and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, anger management, self-harm, confidence, and self-esteem, identity, and stress.

I have previous experience working for the charity MiND. Being a part of the charity provided me with the opportunity to become more familiar with The Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) service, and offer support to people who were seeking to reach their specific set aims/goals in short-term work using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
