About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or carrying something that feels hard to face alone?
I am an integrative counsellor based in Belfast, offering in-person counselling and online therapy across Northern Ireland and the UK. I provide a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore what’s going on at your own pace.
I am known for my calm and patient manner, and I believe that, when appropriate, a gentle sense of humour can sometimes help to ease the weight of difficult conversations.
Whatever brings you to therapy, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
How I Work
As an integrative counsellor, I tailor therapy to you. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I draw from different therapeutic approaches to suit your needs, personality and goals.
In our work together, you can expect:
- A safe and respectful space
- Compassion alongside thoughtful challenge
- Time to explore thoughts and feelings without pressure
- Support to better understand patterns and emotions
- Practical tools where helpful
I believe meaningful change happens within a trusting therapeutic relationship.
Experience
I have many years’ experience working in the charity and voluntary sector, including my work with Lighthouse, where I support people affected by suicide, suicidal ideation, and complex grief.
This work has deepened my ability to sit with intense emotions in a steady and thoughtful way, while respecting each person’s individual story and pace.
Areas I Support
I work with adults experiencing:
- Anxiety and low mood
- Bereavement and complicated grief
- Suicide bereavement and suicidal ideation
- Relationship difficulties
- Identity and self-esteem
- Neurodiversity
- Life transitions and feeling “stuck”
- Sexual orientation
- Negative thinking patterns
Professional Standards
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in line with their Ethical Framework.
This means I am committed to:
- Confidentiality and transparency
- Safe and ethical practice
- Ongoing professional development
I attend regular clinical supervision to ensure the work we do together remains reflective, ethical and in your best interests.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
