About me

Hello, I’m Connie, a bilingual (English/ Cantonese Chinese) counsellor based in Coalville, Leicestershire. Whether it feels too big to talk about, or even too small to bother anyone with, if you feel anxious or it is disrupting your life, it can be reassuring to talk to someone who can support you in getting those difficult thoughts and feelings off your chest. I am here for you and welcome you as you are.

It might feel difficult at first to explore things that perhaps you’ve never spoken about before, especially with someone new. What you bring to therapy is for you to decide, it is unique for everyone and nothing is ever considered ‘not relevant’. You will take the lead of the session and I will follow, we can work together and explore your concerns and thoughts at a pace you find comfortable.

When you are heard, accepted and understood, it can be a deeply healing experience and can lead to new ways of understanding yourself. Sometimes I may challenge your thoughts, behaviours and feelings and this can offer a different perspective which allows an alternate way to understanding yourself. Therapy may not give you the answers but it is a place where answers can be found.

I am interested in how your relationships and environment have shaped, hurt and affected you, how you have made sense of your experiences and how you can heal from them.

In particular, I have a strong interest in the impact of cultural differences and how childhood experiences can affect and shape you into who you are today.

I offer counselling over the phone, online and face-to-face at an easily accessible office. You can contact me for an introductory session at a reduced price, I look forward to hearing from you.
