About me

Welcome. Hello, I am Clinton.

Life can be overwhelming, sad, stressful or even frightening at times. Relationship difficulties, bereavements, loss and change – whether unexpected or planned, are all things that can impact us in ways that feel unexpected or feel unable to make sense of and sometimes we don’t feel able to “get over”, or that we tell ourselves we “should” be managing better.

Whatever brings you to therapy I will provide a safe, respectful and thoughtful space for you to be able to think about your experiences and how to navigate and make meaning in a way that feels meaningful to you.

Finding the right therapist is important, I therefore invite you to get in touch, and we can have an informal initial chat to explore together what you would like to get from therapy and to get a feel for what it is like to work together. Feeling safe with a therapist is an important part of the process.

My coloborative and thoughtful approach has been particularly supportive to clients looking for support with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, internalised critical messages, LGBTQ issues and experiences, understanding shame and relationship problems (individuals and couples) exploring and identifying boundaries. I also offer couple counselling and relationship counselling to intimate partners.

I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor which means I combine counselling and psychotherapy in my work. I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and have over ten years of experience supporting individuals. I have also completed a certificate in advanced relationship training and work with intimate partners also known as couples counselling. I am also an advanced trainee psychotherapist.

I work in Dalston E8, Epsom KT18, Wimbledon SW19, Clapham SW11 and online.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
