About me
Hi, my name is Clare, and I'm a Humanistic and Integrative psychotherapist working in private practice. I also work online across the UK if this is helpful for the work.
My approach
I offer a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. Whether you are feeling stuck, criticised, invisible, anxious or depressed, your pain, discomfort, or sense of being stuck can often be your mind and body's way of signalling that something needs attending to. You may not know what it is, but you know that something doesn't feel right.
Therapy provides an opportunity to explore with curiosity, which builds self-awareness, helping you make sense of your pain and uncover how the past may be impacting your present. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of our work together; working collaboratively and drawing on various therapeutic approaches, I create a tailored approach to meet your unique needs. Our connection establishes the foundation for exploring old patterns that might hold you back. This exploration can open new doors to new ways of being, greater fulfilment and a more satisfying life. This process requires time and commitment from both of us as we work together to create meaningful change.
What to expect
Together, we work side by side to make sense of what feels painful. With compassion, curiosity and gentle challenge, I aim to cultivate a space where you feel heard, valued and supported. By exploring your struggles, we can bring light to patterns in your behaviour, both past and present. Recognising and understanding these patterns can offer insight into their impact, how they developed and what keeps them going, helping you better understand yourself. This awareness can open up new possibilities, highlighting what you might need and offering new choices for change.
I work from a cabin in a peaceful location and work long or short-term.

What to do next:
You are welcome to email, call or text to arrange a complimentary 20-minute conversation either online or by phone. This provides an opportunity to share more about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process, ask any questions and determine if we are the right fit for each other. We can then arrange our first appointment.
Sessions are usually held weekly; we can arrange a set number of sessions or keep it open-ended, depending on your needs. We regularly review how it's going and ideally work together on a planned ending when the time feels right.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
