At Curlew Counselling, I offer a calm, supportive space where children, young people, and adults can gently explore whatever they’re carrying. Life can feel overwhelming at times, and reaching out for support is a brave step. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you make sense of your thoughts and feelings, understand what’s been happening beneath the surface, and find steadier ground.
I work integratively, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches to shape sessions around what you need. Together, we create a space that feels safe and manageable, whether you’re navigating anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply.

Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified counsellor registered with the NCPS. My experience working with children and young people reflects many years as a teacher working with all age ranges and more recently, working with Place2Be. Working with adults at the North East Cancer Support Charity, F.A.C.T, has given me much experience working with people from all walks of life and who are experiencing loss and bereavement, stress and anxiety, depression and low mood, and the overwhelm which comes when life is turned upside down. The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
