About me
I am an accredited counsellor with over 10 years’ experience, offering a supportive and confidential space to explore what is bringing you to therapy at this time. My approach is person-centred, meaning I work alongside you at your pace, helping you feel heard, understood, and empowered.
Alongside my counselling training, I am also a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT). This allows me to offer a flexible approach, combining emotional exploration with practical strategies where helpful.
I provide online therapy for convenience and accessibility, as well as walking therapy locally, taking sessions outdoors into natural spaces. Many people find that being in nature can feel less intense than sitting in a room and can support reflection and emotional processing.
I support people who are feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, or affected by past experiences, including trauma (PTSD) and workplace stress. Some people come to me with specific difficulties like OCD, phobias (including emetophobia), or health anxiety, while others just know that something doesn’t feel quite right.
We’ll work in a way that suits you. I don’t follow a fixed formula, some sessions might focus on understanding how you’re feeling, while others might gently introduce practical tools from CBT if that feels helpful. I work in a way that is empathetic and understanding of neurodivergence, including autism and ADHD, adapting my approach to meet individual needs.
I also have a lot of experience supporting people through life changes, such as menopause and relationship challenges, which can sometimes leave you feeling unsure or out of balance.
Alongside this, I’ve worked closely with emergency service personnel and military veterans so I understand that some experiences can be hard to put into words and that it can take time to feel comfortable opening up.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy, just a sense that you’d like things to feel different is enough to begin.
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply need space to think, I offer a calm, respectful environment to help you move forward.
All sessions are 50 minutes long unless otherwise agreed. I offer sessions at various times Monday to Saturday including some early morning and evening sessions and I balance my availability with my own sense of well-being that allows me to be fully present and supportive in our sessions together.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified, accredited counsellor in Person Centred Therapy. I have been working as a counsellor for 10 years following different careers in Media, Arts and Education and am qualified to Masters level. I have post graduate qualifications in teaching and in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I took my practice online during the Covid lockdowns and supported front line emergency services and continue to do so now.
I am always welcoming to all enquiries. I get that sometimes we need more space to think and breathe away from a screen and following training in 2021 offer walking therapy within south east London area. I love working in nature and the restorative opportunity that it brings to the therapeutic work.
My training in CBT was a result of curiosity from a counselling perspective and I now like to combine elements of both to create opportunity for the best outcomes for the people that I work with. We find what works best for you and I look at the therapeutic work as a collaboration and am happy to lead when you are stuck, I will always check in with you that we are working to what is important to you. Rabbit holes are interesting for sure and we need to not get too lost in them.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Listening is a key skill in counselling, and its as much about being heard as it's about how you can listen to yourself, trust yourself and your journey.
