About me
Hello, thank you for reading my profile.
Whatever your situation I offer a supportive, compassionate and reflective space without judgement to talk about your concerns, helping you to explore what’s bothering you. It is easier to make sense of feelings, experiences and challenges in this type of impartial, calm and warm atmosphere. I value working together to find helpful ways to understand and overcome the things that are troubling you.
I’m a qualified humanistic counsellor drawing on Person-Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis theories and techniques. I work to connect with all parts of you understanding the link between our thoughts, feelings and bodies, our present and our past. I adjust my approach to meet your needs as we are all unique and welcome feedback so I can support you to uncover ways forward that will work best for you.
My aim is to help you understand yourself better and identify things that may be preventing you feeling satisfaction in life, to find greater meaning and purpose, whilst recognising your strengths and choices.
I provide long- and short-term counselling either in person, online or by phone. I work with adults on a one-to-one basis.
I practice from The Practice Rooms in Twickenham TW2 and Richmond TW9.
Please get in touch so that we can talk further in a free phone consultation about how I can support you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Level 6 Clinical Diploma in Humanistic Counselling from Metanoia Institute and a BSc in Psychology from Exeter University.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) which sets the standards for counselling and psychotherapy and abide by their code of ethics. I am also certified to conduct online and telephone counselling. I have worked in charitable settings as well as in private practice. My work is also fully insured and professionally supervised.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
