About me

Asking for support is maybe the best choice you will ever make. Maybe you have learned to stay strong but the bravery is in feeling your real feelings and working through it.

How I Work

We will work together to help you to manage with any difficult life experience, at the same time as learning to understand its causes. This will help you to feel yourself again (to feel lighter) and will support long term changes.

The therapeutic relationship that we create together is so important, as I believe it is what supports lasting changes. I understand it is daunting to find the right counsellor, with whom you can be yourself. I also believe you know what's right for you and sometimes we get lost or stuck in  daily life pressures - and we struggle to see the way forward. I can support you by offering a safe, warm, comfortable space, where you can be truly honest and open to work through your life difficulties and explore solutions.

My hope is is to really hear you. I am all about being human, genuine and empathic. It is hard to be vulnerable but the courage is recognising that you want to make some changes or that something isn't working for you at the moment. Throughout your counselling journey, I will be there to listen empathically, walk along side you and support you with any difficult emotions and feelings.

As an integrative counsellor  (using many theories such as CBT and Person Centred) I have worked within many areas of mental health; I will use a personalised approach that works for you.

A significant amount of my work has been supporting people with anxiety, depression, bereavement, loss and low self-esteem - which impacts many of us.

I also have a keen interest and vast experience within ADHD, lack of motivation, fertility, pregnancy and childbirth, women's issues, coping with life changes/stages, career difficulties and stress.

To see if I am the right counsellor for you I offer a free initial 20-minute telephone call to see if I can help and to answer any questions. I can also provide testimonials from past clients to see if I am the most suitable counsellor for you. I offer counselling through all mediums including telephone, online, face to face or walk and talk sessions. Please feel free to contact me via e-mail or telephone. I look forward to hearing from you.
