About me
Hello, thank you for viewing my profile!
Starting counselling or finding a new counsellor can be daunting and it can be difficult to find someone that feels like a good fit for you. I offer a free initial consultation so that you can get to know me a little and I can find out about you and the problems you are facing and we can work out whether we are a good fit for each other.
So, what can you expect from me, and how am I different to other counsellors?
First off you will get a warm welcome from me. I am an analytical individual by nature and have a holistic view of therapy. What I mean by this is that everything about us is connected. Who we are and who we think we are plays out in the wider world in our careers, relationships and the choices we make. In our sessions, whilst examining the specific issues you are struggling with, at the same time we will unpick relevant areas of your life gaining a deeper understanding of yourself in the process. As well as helping your current issues, this will also give you the insight and understanding, the toolset if you like, that will help you combat issues you may encounter in the future.
I have an interest in men's health and also our place in society in the present day. Whoever you are, I can help you look at feelings you have about yourself in terms of e.g. self confidence or self identity. I can help you look at what life means to you, whether it has meaning and what your purpose or role is. I also have direct experience working with people with neuro-diversity such as ADHD and Autism so I can help you understand how you can function in a world that works differently to you, if you feel these issues affect you. I have a background in Industry working with corporations large and small so I can help you with your career and ways of working. Because i work in a holistic way, I can support you with a diverse range of issues that you may be having difficulty with.
I can help and support you with any feelings, thoughts, behaviours or experiences that you are unhappy with or you wish to make sense of.
I offer a safe, confidential environment where you can feel comfortable to open up and where we can explore together difficult issues towards a goal of understanding and a path towards achieving real and lasting change.
I offer a person centred approach to therapy where you will not be judged or told how to live your life but will feel supported and empowered to make decisions, challenge toxic thoughts and patterns of behaviour and move towards a place of knowledge, power and fulfilment.
Please get in touch for a free initial consultation. Face-to-face and online appointments are available.
