Clarity in Chaos Counselling: Tailored, Practical, and Down-to-Earth Therapy
If you’re asking yourself "Why do I feel so overwhelmed?", "How do I carry this weight?", or "Does life have to feel this hard?", you're not alone.
I offer idiosyncratic therapy - meaning I adapt the counselling to you, rather than fitting you into a set model. Your background, stress responses, and daily reality are unique, so our work together is shaped entirely by what actually helps you.
My practice is built on a person-centred foundation of empathy, safety, and zero judgment. But when life gets chaotic, listening alone isn't always enough. You need an active, down-to-earth person in the room to help you make sense of things and find practical steps forward.
How We Work Together
Plain-spoken conversation: Warm, realistic, and jargon-free. We can talk through heavy things—grief, trauma, or deep stress—without it feeling clinical or stiff.
Practical support: Simple tools and steady pacing to help you manage anxiety, process hard experiences, or navigate burnout.
In your control: Everything I offer is an invitation. My goal is to help you build the self-trust to handle what comes up.
Neurodiversity & LGBTQIA+ Affirming: I offer a space that fully affirms neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ identities. You are welcome as you are, without needing to explain or justify yourself.
Is This You?
If you tend to overthink, care for others, or struggle with people-pleasing, you might spend all your energy keeping life running for everyone else—leaving very little room for yourself. If you’re ready to process what you’ve been through, better understand what you're experiencing, or just find some calm, you don't have to figure it out alone.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I use an eclective approach in my practice. This means that techniques from different models of therapy are incorporated to best benefit you as my client. During your free 15 minute consultation, we will discuss what has brought you to therapy, and what you would like to get out of it. Understanding this will enable a counselling approach to be tailored specifically to you.
