About me

Welcome

Are you experiencing feelings of anxiety or depression that are causing you to have low self-esteem or decreased confidence?

Or you may be feeling overwhelmed, sad, or empty, which can lead to a sense of being lost and uncertain about the meaning and purpose of life.

It takes courage to seek help and support when dealing with difficult feelings.

The therapeutic relationship is a safe space where you can be understood and explore your thoughts, feelings, and sensations.

When you have a safe space to explore and be heard without judgment, it can help you to make sense of what is happening.

Practice description

My training is in Psychotherapeutic Therapy, which is an integrative model underpinned by Person-Centered.

I also incorporate my Coaching and Mindfulness training, which have been significant parts of my life for many years.

I believe there are many ways to help someone. The relationship between the client and the counsellor is an important factor for change to take place.

Being heard and feeling unconditionally accepted can help you uncover and share your deepest concerns.

How it works

The first session will start with a consultation where we can discuss any concerns or expectations you may have about therapy.

To start, I suggest weekly appointments if possible. This can help you understand the work. I am also happy to follow whatever you feel is right for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
