About me

Anxiety can feel overwhelming, persistent, and at times isolating — affecting your thoughts, emotions, and day-to-day life. Whether you are experiencing constant worry, overthinking, panic, or a sense of being “on edge,” it can be difficult to find space to feel calm and in control. With the right support, it is possible to understand and manage anxiety more effectively.

I offer a calm, compassionate, and confidential space where you can explore your experiences without judgment. Together, we will work to understand the underlying causes of your anxiety, helping you make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and patterns of behaviour. My approach integrates counselling and coaching, tailored to your individual needs and pace.

In our work together, we can:

Explore the root causes of anxiety, worry, and overwhelm
Understand triggers and patterns, including overthinking and avoidance
Learn to manage anxious thoughts and regulate difficult emotions
Develop practical tools to feel more grounded, calm, and in control
Build confidence and reduce the impact of anxiety on daily life

Getting started

Our first session will be an initial consultation, offering an opportunity to discuss your concerns, your experience of anxiety, and what you hope to gain from therapy.

I generally recommend starting with weekly sessions, as consistency can support progress and help you build momentum. However, I will always work flexibly, in a way that feels comfortable and manageable for you.

If you are ready to take the first step towards understanding and managing your anxiety, I am here to support you.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
