About me

Welcome to My Counselling Profile

Life can bring a mix of emotions - sometimes overwhelming feelings of anxiety, sadness from depression, loneliness, frustration, or just the general chaos of everyday life. These are common experiences, and you’re not alone in facing them. Over the years, I’ve supported individuals dealing with a wide range of emotional challenges, including:

  • Anxiety: Worrying about things that may or may not happen, often making daily life feel stressful.
  • Depression: Feeling persistently sad, hopeless, or lacking energy to do what you love.
  • Loneliness: Feeling isolated even when you're surrounded by others.
  • Frustration and Anger: Struggling with strong emotions that can be hard to manage.

But here’s the good news: healing and change happen through connection. I truly believe that the relationship we build is the cornerstone of progress. Building trust, feeling supported, and knowing you're truly seen can make all the difference - like finding your emotional safety net.

And let’s be honest, therapy isn’t all serious; sometimes, a good laugh is just what we need. I aim to create a space where you feel relaxed enough to open up, be heard, and maybe even smile along the way.

So, whether you're navigating tough emotions or just need someone to listen, I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey. Remember, no feeling is too big or too small - it’s all part of what makes you uniquely you.

Sometimes in a busy or difficult stage in life, it can be easy to forget we are all just human beings, with real emotions and real struggles.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

What Counselling With Me Feels Like

Starting counselling can feel daunting, especially if you are used to coping by yourself or have never spoken about your feelings before.

My approach is calm, supportive and non-judgemental. I aim to create a safe and comfortable environment where you can speak honestly at your own pace without pressure or expectation.

Together, we can explore the thoughts, emotions and experiences that may be affecting your wellbeing while helping you build greater clarity, confidence and emotional balance.
