About me

Hi, thank you for visiting my page. My name is Chloe, and my business is Roland Therapies. I am a qualified CBT Therapist, psychotherapist and counsellor who is registered with the BACP and BABCP. I have a Masters (MSc) in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Counselling, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Forensic Psychology. I am a kind, warm, empathetic person who will offer you a place free of judgement to explore what you are struggling with. It may feel like you don't know where to start, but I am here to support you in a safe, empowering environment to help you to meet your goals. I am a grounded, down to earth person with a great sense of humour- which often helps! It is my passion to help others to find self-compassion and confidence and to love themselves again after experiencing trauma or hardship.

I specialise in childhood trauma, but can offer you support for low self esteem, low mood, anxiety, health anxiety, depression, PTSD/complex trauma, panic disorder, OCD, eating disorders, grief, stress, relationship issues and life transitions. I have a wealth of experience of working with individuals who are neurodiverse, such as Autism and ADHD, as well as personality disorders such as BPD/EUPD.

Below, I have included some recent feedback I have received from clients which I hope reflects the kindness and care I show those I work with:

-"Chloe Stannard has provided me some of the upmost best therapy and humanity. She was authentic, understanding, compassionate and shows a real genuine interest in the support she provided. She provided an incredibly safe space me to share my experiences, which some I had never felt comfortable to share with anyone ever. I have been privileged to have had many therapies in my life. However , Chloe has been the most respectful and compassion therapist I have ever met. Thank you for the service you provide, it is so incredibly valuable."

-"I went from a nervous wreck to a comfortable & contented person with 3 months. My therapist, Chloe, was adept at making sure I made the choices and decisions (my previous therapist just told me what to do).  Often on reflecting on the sessions afterwards I would become aware of the grace and kindness Chloe showed me. Not once did she make me feel embarrassed or ashamed.  I now possess the tools to establish boundaries, to believe in my own worth and to stop accepting all blame for things not in my control. I feel so much better about myself and my life. I never want to return to the darkness of being the 'old' me and I believe I can keep it at bay by following the key points Chloe helped me to realise.  Chloe was incredibly kind to me, so very patient and completely non-judgemental. Above all she showed me how to recognise my issues were not solely of my own doing. It was a huge relief to discover that I had not done all the damage to myself deliberately.  With the coping mechanisms and strategies I now possess I believe I can live an average happy life without vast levels of fear. I am so grateful and thankful to have be given Chloe as my therapist."

-"Chloe is an amazing therapist who immediately made me feel at ease. She always discussed treatments options and challenges with me and allowed me to make adjustments to these as needed. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking this type of therapy"

-"I have had around 10 counsellors and Chloe has been the only one that has really listened and not felt like a brick wall!"

-"At all times I felt heard and understood, which has been a big problem for me for some time. I feel the sessions have been a great support to me and on reflecting it has helped settle my mind incredibly and I'm happy to be able to take so much away from it and use the methods I've learned to cope with difficulties in life"

-"Chloe was exceptionally patient and understanding, really encouraging and made me feel safe to open up."

I offer a free consultation over the telephone or Microsoft Teams to get to know each other, assess whether you feel we would be a good match, what type of therapy you would be interested in, and how I could meet your needs. I can also offer discounted rates where applicable to those who need support but can't quite afford it, just as someone did for me a long time ago. I look forward to hearing from you,

Chloe

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
