About me
You may feel like you know what you want to be doing, but you just can’t move forward or bring yourself to “do it”. This can often leave us feeling stuck or hopeless. Maybe you find it easy to be kind to others, but you struggle to offer yourself the same compassion.
I believe that when we accept ourselves just as we are, without shame or judgement, that is when we can truly change.
You may be coming to therapy because of experiences and emotions that feel really difficult to be with, such as loneliness, anxiety, sadness, anger and grief. Often, we can feel overwhelmed and resist certain emotions, label them as unwanted or negative, and push them aside in our busy day-to-day lives. But our feelings need space, and what is pushed down might be showing itself in other ways in your life: perhaps you don’t feel like the person you want to be.
I provide a non-judgmental space for you to safely explore how you are. I will both support and challenge you through my warm, empathic approach, where I seek to help you build greater self-awareness and unlock the change you are seeking within yourself and your life. I will tailor my approach to meet you where you are, and together, we will explore your emotions and experiences with curiosity. I also work with mind-body awareness. The body stores much of our emotional experience, so understanding what is going on not just in your mind, but how it is connected to your body can also be incredibly transformative.
I am committed to offering clients an inclusive practice and undertake ongoing reflection and learning to ensure that my practice is anti-oppressive. For disabled clients, I can offer a range of adjustments including but not limited to: shorter sessions, online work, stim toys, images of the room or building in advance, and appointment reminders.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
