About me
Starting therapy, whether for the first time or after a break, can feel daunting. I am here to help, and can offer a space where we think together about what you are facing. I believe that for most people, therapy works best when there is both warmth and challenge in sessions, which is what I aim to provide. Above all, I see therapy as a place to remember that how you feel matters and needs to be thought about.
I am an HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist. This means that I have been trained in a variety of different therapeutic models (Person Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). I am also an Anna Freud certified Mentalisation Based Treatment practitioner, and have over five years experience working for the NHS.
In my private practice, I work integratively. This means that I draw from my Person Centred training to create a warm and open space, my MBT training to hold on to curiosity, and my psychodynamic training to look more deeply at some of the more hidden - and sometimes challenging - parts of the mind.
In both my public and private work, I see adults of all ages. This work includes trying to understand a range of difficulties including low mood, depression, self-doubt, difficulties at work and in relationships, and anxiety and panic attacks.
If any of this resonates with you, please get in touch to arrange a 20 minute (free) phone call.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
