About me
Hello, I am Yut. Whether you’re enduring an especially troubling time, navigating big life changes, working through difficult memories, or just feeling a little lost, I am here to offer support.
Whatever is happening with you, I’m sure we can find a way through it together.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, working in close accordance with the BACP Code of Ethics. I work with adults of all ages and from all walks of life, who bring a diverse array of issues to the therapy room.
As a Person-Centred counsellor I wholeheartedly believe in your ability to find your own way forward to a future of clarity, self-acceptance, and growth. My role is to walk alongside you on that journey, respecting your pace and offering both compassionate support and gentle challenge.
I provide a warm, safe, and accepting space in which we can work together to explore your feelings and make sense of your emotions. I know from my own experiences of therapy how powerful it can be to speak without fear of judgement, and I centre my work in creating a genuine, trusting relationship that allows you to delve into even the most difficult thoughts freely.
While I trained according to the Person-Centred therapeutic approach, I have also studied a variety of other modalities – including Humanistic, Emotion-Focused, and Focusing-Oriented therapy – which I draw on to provide tailored support that best meets the unique needs of each of my clients. I am also an experienced mindfulness and meditation practitioner and teacher, and am able to offer these skills in the therapy room if appropriate.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

My first-hand experiences and identity as a person of colour mean I am uniquely suited to supporting those experiencing challenges related to:
- Experiences of racism
- Cultural and racial identity
- Intercultural / interracial relationships and families
- International living and working (‘culture shock’)
- Repatriation / reintegration following time abroad (‘reverse culture shock’)
- Cultural and spiritual disconnect
As a parent myself, I am also particularly interested to work with those navigating big life changes, especially the transition into parenthood.
