About me

Reaching out for support can feel like one of the hardest steps to take. It can feel intimidating, overwhelming, or even uncomfortable to talk about what you're going through. However, in today's world, many people experience challenges that impact their emotional wellbeing, relationships, confidence, and overall quality of life. Seeking support is a positive step towards understanding yourself better and creating meaningful change.

As a counsellor, I offer a safe, non-judgemental, and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. I believe that every person's story is unique, and I work collaboratively with clients to help them gain insight, build resilience, and move towards their personal goals.

I have experience working with trauma, having previously worked within a trauma centre supporting individuals who have experienced a range of traumatic events. This work has given me a deep understanding of how trauma can affect people's lives and relationships, and the importance of creating a safe therapeutic environment where healing can begin.

Alongside my trauma work, I have extensive experience supporting young people. I have delivered workshops within schools focusing on confidence, self-esteem, anxiety, and low mood, helping young people develop practical strategies to manage life's challenges and improve their emotional wellbeing. I also work within colleges, providing counselling support to young people as they navigate the complexities of education, relationships, identity, and mental health.

Whether you are struggling with anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I am here to offer a compassionate and supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward.

I offer a free 30 minute session so please do make contact.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
