About me
I am a Psychiatrist qualified in the UK having obtained a masters degree in Mental Health Disorders from Kings College London. I have also obtained a Diploma in clinical psychotherapy from Kings College and a Diploma in the field of Eating Disorders Practitioners skills from the National Centre for Eating Disorders (NCFED). I also have a Diploma in Psychoanalysis. I am a BABCP accredited clinical psychotherapist being an experienced specialist in all fields of Mental Health problems/Disorders and am able to provide Therapy. My aim of the therapy is making the clients there own therapists after completion of the treatment.

After obtaining the MBBS degree I worked as a tutor in pathology in Madras Medical College. I completed post graduation in General surgery and subsequently became a Tuberculosis Medical Officer and conducted research studies in the drug treatment for Tuberculosis. I came to the UK in 1975 and completed my training in Psychiatry. I have worked as a registrar in Psychiatry in different fields rising up to the position of an associate specialist in Psychiatry. Circa 1990 I became interested in Psychotherapy and specialized in the field of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and further qualification were obtained as indicated in the field of psychotherapy. I have over 20 of experience within the field of psychotherapy as a special experience along with psychiatry working at the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. I am continuing as an independent psychotherapist. I conducted in house training at the Trust for Multi Professional Staff who were awarded foundation course certificates in cognitive behavioural therapy.

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
