About me
Being here, means you’ve already taken an important first step toward the change you’re seeking.
Hello, my name is Charly El Kashory, and I’m a qualified and experienced therapist offering compassionate, confidential support online and in Stratford-upon-Avon.
I offer a safe space where we can explore the challenges or patterns that may be holding you back, uncovering the potential for healing and growth.
If you’re dealing with anxiety, self-doubt, past trauma, low self esteem or you’re noticing patterns that keep holding you back, anger issues or loneliness, I can support you in making space within yourself for real change.
I’m a qualified and experienced, BACP registered therapist and I offer a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can show up fully and explore parts of yourself that may have felt hidden or inaccessible before. Together, we’ll get to the root of the beliefs and habits that may be keeping you from living the life you want.
Trust and hope are, to me, the unsung architects of change. Trust is the foundation, a steady ground we build together, while hope is the compass that keeps us moving forward, even when the road is foggy. I don’t offer blind optimism; instead, I believe in hope grounded in reality, where trust grows naturally from honest dialogue and shared understanding. In this way, we’re not just hoping for change, we’re engineering it.
Therapy isn’t always easy, but it offers a chance to truly see yourself and make changes that support a more fulfilling future. I’ll be here to help you explore old patterns and make choices that align with who you truly are.
Whether we meet in person at Lifeways Therapy Centre in Stratford-upon-Avon (CV37) online or have sessions on the phone, I’m here to support people of all backgrounds and identities, valuing the unique perspectives and experiences each person brings.
If you’re ready to take that first step, I’m here to support you.

Training, qualifications & experience
Training
My training as a therapist combined academia with deep experiential learning. Studying at a top-level institution provided the qualifications and theoretical foundation to start my practice, and I valued and thrived in this structured learning. Alongside this, it was the relational and experiential side of my training, working closely with others, engaging deeply in therapeutic practice, and learning through real connection, that truly shaped me.
However, as I began working with clients, I felt that traditional talk therapy alone missed certain dimensions of healing, particularly when addressing trauma. This insight led me to train in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a bottom-up approach (working with emotions and bodily sensations to address trauma at its roots) that reaches deeper layers of experience. This blend of theory, relational practice, and bottom-up methods allows me to sit in the therapist’s chair with the expertise, empathy, and tools needed to support true healing.

Experience
I bring a lifetime of curiosity and rich, varied experiences to my work as a therapist. My early studies in health and social care, sociology, and criminology laid a foundation for understanding human behaviour. After a decade of traveling, living abroad, and focusing on family, I took time out to prioritise recovery and my health following a significant diagnosis. This break brought invaluable insight and deepened my commitment to my work.
Returning to study, I completed my training in person-centered therapy at the University of Warwick and began working with Safeline, where I support individuals affected by sexual abuse. My own healing journey has shaped who I am as a therapist, giving me personal insight that enhances my approach.
My work as a therapist is deeply informed by my own healing journey, which enhances my ability to connect with clients from all walks of life, from a place of empathy and lived experience.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
