About me

Hello, my name is Carolyn, though most people call me Cal.

For the past 17 years, I’ve supported people experiencing Anxiety, ADHD and other mental health challenges in their workplace. This work has allowed me to walk alongside adults, teens and children navigating Anxiety, ADHD, Trauma, Relationship difficulties, Stress, Depression, Loss, and many other emotional struggles — experiences that have deeply enriched and grounded my counselling practice.
I understand how overwhelming it can feel when your mental health begins to shape your life in ways you didn’t choose. My extensive counselling training enables me to support you safely, effectively, and with genuine care throughout your counselling journey.

My therapeutic approach
I am trained in psychodynamic therapy, person‑centred therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I work primarily in a person‑centred way, with a gentle integration of NLP, placing you at the heart of the process.
As a Pluralistic Psychotherapist/Counsellor, Trauma‑Informed Practitioner, CBT Therapist and NLP Practitioner, I draw on a wide range of tools to support you with whatever may be limiting your life.

How I work
You are unique, and your therapy should reflect that. My training, combined with years of experience supporting people through complex emotional experiences, allows me to adapt my approach to suit your individual needs. I see therapy as a collaborative process — something we build together. A trusting, supportive relationship is, in my view, essential for meaningful change.
My personal and professional experiences have shaped the counsellor I am today. Together, we will explore your emotional world and gently uncover the roots of what may be holding you back. I am here to listen deeply, help you understand your patterns, and support you as you move towards the life you want to live. I will hold the space for you with care, consistency, and compassion.

Warmly, Cal x
