About me

I am an experienced integrative counsellor and therapist with over 25 years of supporting people through life's challenges. My work is relational, and grounded in the experience that healing happens within the safety of a trusting therapeutic relationship. Providing a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental environment is paramount to my practice, allowing you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels right for you.

As an integrative practitioner, I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs rather than working from a single therapeutic model. Alongside talking therapy, I incorporate body-oriented psychotherapy where appropriate, recognising that our bodies often hold the impact of stress, trauma and life experiences. Working with both mind and body can support deeper awareness, resilience and lasting change.

I have extensive experience working with adults, young people aged 16 and over, and couples. Over the past 25 years I have supported clients with a wide range of issues, including trauma and complex trauma, attachment difficulties, anxiety, neurodiversity, relationship challenges, and the impact of early life experiences. I also have specialist experience in pre- and perinatal and birth psychology.

My early training in craniosacral therapy continues to inform my therapeutic approach. It nurtured a deep respect for the wisdom of the body and for each person's innate capacity for healing and growth. I see the nervous system not as something that is fixed, but as something that can respond and adapt throughout life. When we experience safety within a trusting therapeutic relationship, our nervous system has the opportunity to move out of survival patterns towards greater regulation, connection and resilience, allowing us to become more fully ourselves.

I experience every person as unique, and therapy should reflect that. Whether you are coming to therapy to work through a particular difficulty, make sense of past experiences, improve your relationships or gain a deeper understanding of yourself, I will work alongside you with warmth, curiosity and respect. Together we can create a therapeutic space where you feel heard, understood and supported to move towards the changes that matter most to you.

I also offer supervision in person centred, integrative  and body oriented psychotherapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
