About me

Welcome
I’m Caroline, a qualified and registered counsellor with the BACP. I work with individuals and couples aged 18+ in person in Lewisham, online and by telephone, offering a warm, safe and non‑judgemental space to explore whatever is affecting your thoughts, feelings or relationships.

What are you experiencing?
Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck and unsure why?
Are things building up until they feel unmanageable, leaving you panicked, fearful or exhausted?
Are relationships, family pressures or work stress becoming difficult to cope with?
Are intrusive thoughts, low confidence or reduced self‑esteem affecting how you interact or make decisions?

Therapy offers space to slow down, reflect and understand yourself more deeply.

I can support you by:
• Offering a compassionate, collaborative space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted
• Exploring your feelings, beliefs and experiences at a pace that feels safe
• Building confidence and self‑esteem so you can feel more grounded in yourself
• Making sense of how past experiences may be shaping your present thoughts, emotions and patterns
• Helping you develop clarity and insight into what you’re going through  • Supporting you to strengthen resilience and emotional balance
• Working together to understand what you need and how you want to move forward
• Tailoring therapy to your unique needs, goals and way of being

What are you experiencing as a couple?
Are you and your partner feeling disconnected or stuck in repeating patterns?
Are conversations turning into conflict, withdrawal or feeling unheard?
Are past hurts or shaken trust making closeness difficult?
Are life transitions, family pressures or external stress creating distance? Are you longing for closeness but unsure how to bridge the gap?

Couples therapy offers a supportive space to rebuild trust and strengthen your connection.

I can support couples by:
• Exploring the patterns and cycles that keep you feeling stuck
• Improving communication so you can speak and listen with more clarity and care
• Rebuilding emotional safety and strengthening your sense of trust
• Understanding the deeper emotions, needs and triggers beneath conflict
• Repairing past hurts and supporting you through moments of rupture
• Navigating life transitions, family pressures or external stress together
• Deepening emotional connection and helping you stay close through difficulty
• Developing a more secure, supportive and resilient relationship

My Counselling Approach
I work integratively, drawing on Person‑Centred and Psychodynamic approaches to tailor the work to your individual needs.

Person‑Centred Therapy
A supportive, non‑judgemental space where you can explore your feelings openly and connect with your inner values and sense of self.

Psychodynamic Therapy
An opportunity to understand how past experiences and relational patterns may be shaping your present thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

Integrating These Approaches
Together, we explore both your inner world and the patterns that influence how you relate to yourself and others, helping you develop insight, resilience and healthier ways of being.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
