Clinical Psychologist | DClinPsy, MSc, PGDip, BA (Hons)

About me

I am a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) with over 15 years’ experience working within the NHS and other settings. During this time, I have had the privilege of supporting adults and families from a wide range of backgrounds and life stages through the navigation of a range of complex emotional and psychological challenges.

Creating a safe, trusting, and supportive therapeutic space is at the heart of my approach. Taking a thoughtful and individualised approach, we can collaboratively work to develop a bespoke formulation and treatment plan that encompasses your unique needs and goals.

Alongside my private practice I continue to work in my role as a Principal Clinical Psychologist in the NHS, where I have developed expertise in providing specialist assessment and therapy for adults and families experiencing a range of mental health difficulties.

My practice is firmly grounded in current evidence-based theory, research, and best-practice guidance. I am trained in and draw upon a range of trauma-informed therapeutic approaches which I tailor to each individuals’ needs and goals. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) including trauma-focused CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), narrative therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and systemic therapy.

I have experience of supporting people facing a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including:

  • Depression and low mood
  • Anxiety including generalised anxiety, phobias, panic, OCD and worry
  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD
  • Self-esteem issues
  • Perinatal mental health including perinatal and postnatal depression and anxiety
  • Emotional regulation and anger management
  • Stress and burnout
  • Grief, loss and bereavement
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Sleep problems
  • Experiences of psychosis
  • Adjustment to long-term health conditions and other life events

This list is not exhaustive. If you are unsure whether therapy may be helpful, you are welcome to get in touch to discuss your situation.

My role is to meet you where you’re at, to help you to make sense of your experiences and support you in moving forward towards your personal goals. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking to understand yourself more deeply, I specialise in helping people to navigate life and its complexities through providing a calm, confidential and supportive space in which to explore your experiences.

Finding the right Psychologist for you is a key part of your therapeutic journey. For this reason, I offer a free 15 minute consultation, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and consider whether working together feels like the right fit for you.
