Psychosexual & Relationship Therapist | AdvPGdip, COSRT/BACP

About me

Hi, I’m Candice, a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist (AdvPGDip) and a registered member of COSRT and BACP.

Struggling with sex and intimacy can feel really isolating, but you don’t have to face it alone. Whether you’re experiencing difficulties with desire, intimacy, pleasure or your relationships, I offer a space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we’ll create a space where you can talk openly about the things that may feel too difficult, awkward or embarrassing to say out loud, without judgement.

My Approach

As an Integrative and Humanistic Therapist, I tailor my approach to your unique experiences, drawing on different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you. With a background in humanitarian work and supporting people through experiences of sexual trauma, I aim to create a warm, welcoming and uncensored space where you can talk openly and feel accepted for who you are.

I welcome people of all gender identities, sexual orientations and relationship structures, including monogamous and non-monogamous relationships. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, helping you better understand yourself, your relationships and what matters most to you.

I am dedicated to ongoing learning and recently completed an Advanced Diploma in Relationship Psychotherapy.

Sex Therapy

Sex therapy offers a safe, supportive environment to talk about any sexual concerns and explore your feelings, desires or difficulties. Whether you’re experiencing a specific sexual difficulty or simply want to feel more confident and connected to your sexuality, therapy can help. Together, we’ll work at your pace towards the goals that matter most to you.

Relationship Therapy

Relationships can be one of the greatest sources of joy, but they can be messy, confusing and intense, often leaving us feeling stuck, disconnected or unsure how to move forward. Relationship therapy offers a space to talk things through openly, whatever your relationship style. Whether you’re navigating conflict or betrayal, or simply wanting to feel closer, we can explore what’s happening and find new ways forward. Together, we’ll work towards building more fulfilling, open and meaningful connections.

Areas of focus:

  • Communication difficulties
  • Conflict in relationships
  • Feeling stuck in repeating patterns
  • Anxiety in and about relationships
  • Building and deepening connections
  • Navigating non-monogamy
  • Affairs and betrayals

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

COSRT
College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT)

COSRT is the UK’s leading membership organisation for therapists specialising in sexual and relationship issues.

All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
