About me

Are you feeling stuck in patterns that don’t make sense, overwhelmed by your emotions, or held back by experiences from the past? Perhaps part of you knows something needs to change… and another part would quite happily avoid thinking about it altogether and keep scrolling. That’s very human.

I am a qualified CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapist, offering a warm, welcoming, and confidential space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard (no awkward silences required, unless you want them).

I specialise in working with trauma and its lasting impact, whether from a single distressing event or more complex, long-term experiences. Trauma can show up in many ways, including anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, or a constant sense of being on edge for no clear reason.

Together, we can gently begin to understand these patterns and loosen their grip, without forcing you to revisit everything all at once.

I also support clients with anxiety, depression, stress, addictions, and relationship challenges, always meeting you with empathy. You won’t be judged or told to “just think positive” (if only it were that simple).

My approach is gentle, collaborative, and tailored to you. We will work at a pace that feels safe and manageable, no pressure, no rushing, and definitely no “you should be over this by now.”

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) can help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected, and give you practical tools to cope and create change. EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based therapy designed to help process traumatic or distressing experiences, so they feel less overwhelming and no longer run the show and hold you back.

Whether you’re coming with a specific difficulty or simply a sense that something isn’t quite right, you are very welcome here. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start, most people don’t.

My aim is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and able to explore things at your own pace.

Sessions are available in person and online at flexible appointment times where possible.

If you’re considering therapy but feeling unsure, that’s completely okay. You’re welcome to get in touch for an initial chat to see if we might be a good fit, no pressure, no commitment, just a conversation.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Master’s degree in Research Psychology and am fully qualified in both Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am accredited with the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies) and EMDR Europe/UK.

Alongside these approaches, I integrate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Schema Therapy, allowing me to tailor therapy to each individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

I specialise in trauma to support both single-incident and more complex, long-term trauma. I also have experience working with neurodiversity and adapt my approach to suit different ways of thinking, processing, and experiencing the world.

I have over 20 years of experience working in mental health across a range of settings including charities, schools, drug and alcohol services, the NHS, and a specialist trauma service. This has given me broad experience supporting both adults and children with a wide range of needs and life experiences.

In my practice, I work with many of the challenges that can affect day-to-day life, including difficulties at home, school, or work, anxiety and panic attacks, sleep problems, depression, and the impact of traumatic experiences. Whatever you’re facing, we can work together to make sense of it and find a way forward that feels manageable and meaningful to you.
