About me

It’s not always easy to reach out for support, especially when life feels overwhelming or you’re stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand. You might be experiencing anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem or a sense that something just isn’t right, even if you can’t name exactly what. I offer a safe, reflective space where we can explore what’s going on beneath the surface, at a pace that feels manageable for you.

Therapy comes in many forms and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the different approaches. While each has its own value, I believe the most important part of therapy is the relationship you build with your therapist. That’s where real change begins. I am a BACP registered psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor. My approach is rooted in the belief that our past relationships and experiences often shape how we feel, think, and relate in the present. Working together, we can begin to understand these patterns and create room for new ways of being. My practice is culturally sensitive, thoughtful, and grounded in a genuine curiosity about who you are and what matters to you.

While I work with a wide range of concerns, my focus is on helping people who are low, lost, or stuck, often with feelings of depression and the difficulties that can come with it. Whatever you're carrying, therapy offers a space to begin making sense of it all.

I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so you can get a feel for how I work and whether this space feels right for you. I see clients face-to-face in Kensington (SW5) and Ealing (W5). Sessions take place weekly and last for 50 minutes, held at the same time each week. Therapy is usually open-ended, giving us the space to work at your pace, though shorter-term work can also be discussed; we can talk about this during our initial phone call.

In our first session, we’ll explore your concerns in more detail and gather some background information. This initial meeting is also a chance for you to get a sense of how we might work together and to see if my approach feels like a good fit for you. There’s no obligation to continue; sometimes a different method or a more specialised service may be more appropriate, and if so, we can discuss what might best support your needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

Alongside my work as a psychotherapist, I have a strong background in the third sector, where I help capacity build grassroots organisations and facilitate reflective spaces for practitioners working with high levels of risk and vulnerability. This experience has greatly enriched my therapeutic approach, giving me a deep understanding of the complex realities people face and strengthening my ability to connect with clients from all walks of life.

I hold a Master’s degree in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy, and bring to my work a wealth of experience across diverse settings. Before training as a therapist, I worked in the post-16 education sector both in the UK and abroad as a teacher and facilitator. This earlier work continues to shape my practice today, supporting my ability to listen with care, communicate clearly, and hold space for others in a meaningful and collaborative way.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
