About me
Welcome, I’m Caitlyn, an art psychotherapist and the founder of Wandering Roots Art Psychotherapy.
I offer a grounding, creative space where we can safely and freely explore a journey of self-discovery and healing. I understand it can feel daunting to start opening up about your experiences. Because of that, we move at your pace, always. Our sessions are tailored to your interests and may include art-making, talking, or a combination of both. You don’t need to be 'good at art' to attend; just a sense of curiosity to begin.
The name ‘Wandering Roots’ reflects my belief in our inherent ability to explore our foundations. The ‘wandering’ element celebrates the gentle, creative exploration we undertake together, a curiosity that drives therapeutic growth. Our roots may provide insight into our current challenges, and once they are safely explored and nurtured, they may provide a sense of direction and lasting resilience.
I offer 1:1 online sessions for children, young people, and adults, providing a supportive space to navigate life's challenges through a creative approach.
If you would like to find out more or would like to enquire about beginning art therapy, I offer a free 15-minute consultation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
