About me
My work in counselling has provided me with experience in many different areas, such as grief, anxiety, addiction, sexuality, relationships and low self-esteem. It has become apparent to me that no matter what someone is going through, the main things we want are to feel heard, seen and understood. Therefore, I specialise in a Person-Centred manner, working with the client to focus on what feels important to them, while exploring their inner self to help the client gain a better understanding of who they are and self-acceptance.
While I am predominantly a Person-Centred counsellor, I will also integrate other methodologies such as CBT techniques where I feel it will benefit and resonate with my client. My priority is ensuring that sessions target what each client needs and wants from their sessions and so I will use my training to facilitate each individual.
Counselling is most successful when the relationship between client and counsellor is one of trust, support and respect. I will always provide a safe and non-judgemental space for my clients and consider it a privilege to support people to gain a better understanding of themselves and reach their goals.
I understand that taking the initial step to reach out for support can be difficult. However, know that you are accepted, and I am grateful that you have taken the first step to find support by reading my profile. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I would love to help to facilitate your personal growth.
