About me
I am a warm, compassionate and empathic integrative therapist based in South London, offering both in-person and online therapy to clients across the UK and Ireland. I believe deeply in the transformative power of therapy and the meaningful difference it can make in our lives. My aim is to provide a trusting, respectful and non-judgemental space where you feel fully supported to explore what’s on your mind and make positive, lasting change.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches enabling me to tailor our work to suit your needs. With a person-centred approach, placing our therapeutic relationship at the heart of the process is . Building trust and creating a safe, supportive environment where you feel genuinely heard and understood is central to how I work. Together, we explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences with your needs guiding our sessions at every step.
I work with adults and young people aged 16+, supporting clients through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges which include:
Anxiety and depression, workplace burnout and career stress, low self-esteem and confidence, relationship and family difficulties, sexual identity, low mood and behavioural changes, menopause management, chronic pain and illness, and visual impairment or blindness.
You don’t need to have a single, clearly defined issue to come to therapy. Some clients come feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of why they feel the way they do. Others are curious and want to better understand patterns in their behaviour, navigate life transitions, or deepen their self-awareness. Whatever brings you to therapy, we can begin there.
My approach is human, kind and emotionally supportive. We will move at your pace, gently exploring challenges, building insight and self-awareness, and developing practical coping strategies, helping you feel more empowered and confident in your life. This is your therapy — we focus on what feels important to you, when you are ready.
My practice is fully inclusive, and I warmly welcome clients of all genders, sexualities, religions, cultural backgrounds, ages and abilities.
Training, qualifications & experience
- CPCAB Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy
- Accredited RNIB Sight Loss Counsellor
- Registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and work in accordance to their ethical framework.
Experience:
Through my work with the RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People) I have experience in counselling those affected by sight loss. Offering time limited therapy to a diverse range of clients, many of whom have lost their sight due to chronic illness and traumatic life event, I give the space and support to explore the challenges and emotional upheaval of sight loss and the impact it has on their lives.
I also worked at the BRIT School, the UK’s leading Performing and Creative Arts School based in South London, offering time limited therapy to young people who are navigating the often challenging and bewildering transition into adulthood and offering a safe environment and an opportunity to explore whatever is going on for them. At this crossroads in life, many young people can feel anxiety and overwhelm and my approach to our work - calm, empathic, kind is always at the heart of my therapeutic approach.
Background:
Before retraining as a therapist, I spent many years in journalism and photojournalism, working as a senior leader within a global news organisation and covering some of the most significant news stories of our time. Working closely with photographers and editors, I became deeply aware of the emotional toll that repeatedly witnessing challenging imagery can take — something I experienced myself.
Over time, I faced burnout and began to recognise the impact that sustained stress and exposure to distressing material was having on my mental and physical wellbeing. Stepping away from the industry gave me the space to reflect, and ultimately retrain as a therapist.
My lived experience now informs my therapeutic practice in meaningful ways. I bring a deep understanding of the pressures of high-responsibility roles, workplace stress, burnout, vicarious trauma, and the subtle ways demanding environments can affect our sense of self and emotional stability. I am particularly attuned to the impact of challenging professional experiences on mental wellbeing, identity, and resilience.
Having navigated my own process of change and growth, I approach my work with empathy, warmth and respect for each person’s unique story. I understand how difficult it can be to acknowledge when something is no longer sustainable, and how much courage it takes to seek support. My aim is to offer a safe, thoughtful and compassionate space where we can explore your experiences at your pace, helping you reconnect with yourself and move towards a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
