About me

Perhaps you're tired of carrying so much on your own.

You may feel anxious, low or overwhelmed; be struggling with painful or confusing emotions, difficulties in relationships, or the impact of trauma or loss.

From the outside, people may not see or understand how much you're struggling. They may even think you're doing fine. Yet inside, you may feel exhausted, lonely, or find yourself spiralling.

Perhaps you've become used to coping, pleasing or looking after others, or keeping things inside just to get through the day.

You don't have to carry this alone.

I offer a warm, calm and reflective space where you can feel genuinely heard and understood, and where we can begin to make sense of things at your own pace.

Together, we can begin to deepen understanding of your experiences and become curious about the patterns, feelings and ways of relating that may be shaping your life, often outside of conscious awareness.

Many of these patterns develop through our earlier relationships and experiences. Sometimes, what once helped us cope or protect ourselves can later keep us feeling stuck or disconnected. By bringing these patterns into awareness, therapy can create opportunities for healing, greater self-compassion, stronger relationships, and a deeper sense of freedom and resilience.

Reaching out can feel like a big step, especially if you've been carrying things alone for a long time. But it can also be the beginning of relief, healing and meaningful change.

I'd be pleased to hear from you, whether you'd like to send an email, arrange an informal telephone conversation, or book an exploratory first session.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
