About me

Hello, and welcome. I’m glad you’ve found your way here. I offer a warm, calm, and supportive space where you can talk openly, be truly heard, and explore whatever feels important to you at your own pace.

My approach is gentle, down-to-earth, and centred around building a trusting relationship. I believe that therapy is most effective when you feel safe, respected, and accepted exactly as you are. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress, relationships, past experiences, or a sense of feeling lost, I’m here to walk alongside you.

I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds, and I tailor sessions to meet your individual needs. My aim is to help you gain clarity, develop self-understanding, and move towards a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and connected.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a professionally trained Counsellor with experience supporting clients through a wide range of emotional difficulties. My training is primarily person-centred, although I draw from several therapeutic approaches so that sessions can be shaped around what works best for you.

My professional experience includes working in various counselling settings, such as community organisations, mental health services, and private practice. I have supported individuals with concerns, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties, work-related stress, and life transitions.

I adhere to professional ethical guidelines and receive regular supervision to ensure that my work remains safe, reflective, and supportive of your well-being.

I have completed the following professional qualifications:

  • Level 4 - Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
  • Level 3 - Certificate in Counselling Studies
  • Level 2 - Certificate in Counselling Skills
  • Mental Health First Aid

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel uncertain. I offer a gentle, non-judgemental space where you can explore what you need, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I provide both short- and long-term counselling, either in person or online. If you’re unsure whether we’re the right fit, I’m happy to offer an initial conversation so you can ask questions and get a sense of how I work.

If you decide to move forward, we can work together to build a therapeutic relationship that supports your growth, resilience, and well-being.
