About me
You may appear capable and coping on the outside, yet internally feel anxious, uncertain, or disconnected from your own voice. You might overthink conversations, struggle to set boundaries, or find yourself repeating patterns in relationships that you do not fully understand.
Many of the people I work with learned early that being needed, accommodating, or self-reliant was safer than expressing their own needs. These patterns can feel deeply ingrained, even when they no longer serve you.
Together we explore these patterns not as flaws, but as meaningful ways you adapted in order to survive and belong. As we begin to understand them more fully, new choices and ways of relating can become possible, along with a reduction in shame and the sense that something might be wrong with you.
My approach is psychodynamic and relational. We pay attention not only to your experiences outside therapy, but also to what emerges within the therapeutic relationship itself.
I offer a calm, steady space where you can speak openly and think through what feels confusing or painful. I aim to be honest and psychologically attentive in how I work, rather than simply reassuring.
Over time, this can support greater clarity, emotional understanding, and more confident decision-making.
Training, qualifications & experience
My approach is psychodynamic. This means we look at how early experiences and unconscious patterns shape your present life, relationships, and sense of self. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we aim for deeper understanding and lasting change.
I have experience supporting clients with:
• Anxiety and depression
• Relationship and attachment difficulties
• Low self-esteem and shame
• Repeating relational patterns
• Identity and belonging
• Neurodivergence and masking
• Trauma and complex relational histories
• Boundaries, anger, and finding your voice
I offer a steady, reflective, and inclusive space where you can speak openly and at your own pace. I welcome clients of all genders, sexualities, and neurotypes, including LGBTQ+ clients.
If you would like to explore whether we might work well together, please get in touch.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
