About me
Finding the right therapist can feel challenging, and my aim is to offer a space where you feel understood, supported, and able to explore what is - or has been difficult.
I wish to build a strong and honest therapeutic relationship with you, so you don’t have to face things alone, and with time move towards the changes you long for and the sense of steadiness that you deserve.
With a background as a nurse and now as a therapist, I bring a calm, grounded presence and a practical understanding of how emotional wellbeing and the body are deeply connected. I work in a manner to help you exploring patterns; find awareness round feeling and thoughts; communication styles and the stories we carry from our life, families and relationships.
Therapy can sometimes feel like a bumpy journey and involve periods of discomfort and uncertainty when addressing past experiences. So whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, ready for change or simply need a thoughtful space to slow down and build new ways of coping - it’s important that you feel safe and held. You are very welcome to contact me to see whether I might be the right person for you to have along on this new journey.

I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and techniques, shaping each session around what you need in that moment. At the heart of my work is a person‑centred belief that you already hold the wisdom you need - my role is to help you navigate through the ‘fog’ and reach the core of what feels difficult. The honest, open relationship we build becomes the foundation for real change.
If it feels right for you, we might bring in more creative elements, such as images, cards or sand-play, to help express what can be hard to put into words. For some people, a bit of psychoeducation can also offer clarity and a sense of understanding about what they’re experiencing.
No two sessions are the same. Together, we’ll shape a space that feels supportive, flexible, and tailored to you.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Clients often find their experiences complex and connected, making it hard to know where to begin. This is very common.
In our initial sessions, we'll gently untangle what's been happening and identify what you want to focus on. The list above is not definitive- I have met and worked with people from all walks of life, with a wide range of challenges and stories. Just ask if you got questions.

Adult Sessions
The first couple of sessions can look very different from person to person, and there is no “right” or “wrong” way for them to unfold. Some clients arrive needing to open up and let everything out, and we spend later sessions gently making sense of what they’ve shared. Others prefer to go more slowly - taking time to get to know me, the space, and even exploring what has brought them to therapy in the first place.
I will answer your questions openly, and if it feels easier, I can ask you questions too. This helps us begin building trust and forming a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, honest, and supportive.
If you come to me through your workplace, I may carry out a brief assessment at the start of our work together, and again when your allocated sessions come to an end. These assessments are confidential, just like everything else discussed in our sessions, unless we agree otherwise.
Children and Teen Sessions
For children and young people under 16, I always begin with an initial session with the paying parent or caregiver. Confidentiality works slightly differently for under‑16s, and I explain this clearly in the first session so everyone understands how information is shared and protected.
