About me
Hi, I’m Ben.
Thank you firstly for visiting my page. If you’ve got this far then you’ve made an important step towards making a change in your life. Taking this first step is often the hardest, but it doesn’t have to be from here on out. In being here you are showing a willingness to want to work on yourself and attend to any difficulties you might be facing at the moment and I’d like to help you with that.
In my practice I offer a warm, confidential space for you to explore any current issues you may be facing and make sense of your feelings as they arise. Life can often be hard and sometimes we need support to get us back on the right track. I aim to work collaboratively with you to support you to manage your current difficulties that have affected your mental-wellbeing.
The aim of the support I offer is to build a therapeutic relationship with you, so you feel heard, accepted, respected and understood. In building a therapeutic relationship, comes awareness of your situation and with self-awareness you have the ability to make a change.
The way I work is dictated by the content you bring to each session, so no two sessions may be the same. I work from an integrative approach and aim to work creatively with you with the ability to draw on a variety of techniques from different counselling theories. This allows me to create a unique way of working, that supports your goals for therapy.
I believe that you are the expert on yourself and that you have the tools you need within you to flourish. I will be here to help you access these tools and find your own answers to the difficulties you might be experiencing.
I am extremely passionate about the work I do and find it an honour to share in your experience. I believe that through talking and sharing our concerns with another person can be the building blocks for positive change and provide a welcome release in times of distress.
I really look forward to working with you and welcome any questions you may have about the counselling support I offer.
