About me
I offer counselling online, by telephone, and face-to-face, allowing you to choose the format that best suits your lifestyle and preferences. Sessions are client-led and take place in a warm, welcoming, and confidential environment where you can talk openly at your own pace.
As an integrative counsellor, I adapt my approach to suit your individual needs. Some sessions may focus on understanding current thoughts and behaviours using CBT techniques, while others may explore how past experiences continue to influence the present. At all times, the therapeutic relationship remains central, providing a supportive space for reflection, self-awareness, and personal growth.
Whether you are experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, bereavement, low self-esteem, or simply feel overwhelmed, I will work collaboratively with you to help you gain insight, build resilience, and find a way forward that feels right for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified BACP counsellor offering a safe, confidential, and supportive space where you can explore whatever is on your mind without fear of judgement. I understand that taking the first step into counselling can feel daunting, and I aim to build a therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, respected, and valued.
I work integratively, which means I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs rather than following a single model of therapy. My training includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, and humanistic approaches. This enables me to work flexibly, helping you understand how your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and past experiences may be influencing your life today, while supporting you to develop healthier ways of coping and moving forward.
I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to work alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and compassion as we explore the challenges you are facing and work towards meaningful, lasting change.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
