Hi my name is Kiran,

I am a British born fully qualified multilingual counsellor. I have 18 years of experience of working in an educational environment. I have a good understanding of daily stresses which can cause people anxieties and other health issues. I provide counselling sessions for issues listed above and more. I am able to offer Counselling in the following languages

  • English
  • Punjabi
  • Hindi
  • Urdu

I work from a private practice where we offer a private, professional and confidential service for long term or short term therapy in a safe and comfortable environment. This can be accessed by individuals couples, families and employers as we offer employer assisted programes  (EAP). We offer a safe environment for our clients so that we can work together to achieve your full potential. I personally have worked as a fully qualified counsellor since 2007.

We offer professional, confidential and empathic counselling in a central location in Leeds to individual adults, couples, young adults and families. Each session is for 50 mins. We offer short, medium or long term counselling as required.

How counselling can help

We believe counselling is a joint venture between the client and counsellor, this relationship is fundamentally important to allow you to experience growth and change that we all go through in our lifetime.

Sometimes in life, we don't understand what is causing us pain, low self-esteem, mood swings, unsettled feeling, incompleteness from within, depression or just generally not being heard. This is when counselling can help us to resolve issues that come with emotionally demanding day to day life.

Affordable Therapy @ Inspirational Counselling

One of the services that our practice offers is affordable therapy. We understand that even though you may want emotional support, to help you through a difficult time in life this is not always feasible due to financial constraints of daily life/expenses.

We believe that Making professional empathic counselling accessible, affordable, convenient - so anyone who struggles with life’s challenges can get help anytime.

Therefore, we offer counselling sessions from £23. Please call for more information.

Understanding cultural differences

I am aware of the cultural and language differences that may arise when seeking counselling but being able to fluently counsel in the above languages helps me to remove barriers between myself and my clients.

I have experience and understanding of many different issues which adults and children face within the ethnic minority groups with regards to relationships, family, upbringing and general matters to do with day to day life.

Please get in touch via call, text or email to arrange an initial session.

Through studying, working with children/adults for sixteen years and walking on the path of life I have gained many experiences. The combination of all of these has given me my understanding and motivation needed to be a counsellor.

I am currently working in-house at various universities, counselling graduates and supporting them through their studies by helping them to overcome any barriers that they face in their student or personal life.

During my three years of working with Cruse bereavement counselling, I have gained a greater insight and understanding around the issues of bereavement and loss whether they be emotional physical or financial. My understanding of when a person loses a loved one, a colleague or a friend there is no time limit to when they will accept their loss or if they will ever accept it but with the support of counselling you could learn how to move on with daily life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
