About me

Welcome to my profile.

Are you constantly giving to others and find you have nothing left for yourself? Do you need some time for you, to explore your identity? Maybe you are depressed or suffering with loss, anxiety, or sadness?

If you are finding life a struggle or feel you need someone to talk to, then I can help. I can offer you a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can be listened to empathically.

I firmly believe that working with a Counsellor to explore what is going on for you can lead to real change in your life. So whether you are adjusting to life’s changes or trying to overcome loss, I can help.

I am a professional, qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor.  I am a registered member of the BACP and my work is bound by their Ethical Framework. I work integratively, combining my psychodynamic background with a person-centred approach, to help people overcome their fears and move forward with their life more confidently.

I have counselling experience of working with adults of all ages, particularly older adults. I have worked as a volunteer counsellor for The Counselling Foundation and at Bedford Counselling and Training, where I am currently a Trustee.

I offer weekly 50 minute sessions, working open ended or long-term, in individual therapy.

I work either in-person or online sessions on zoom.  I work from a bespoke counselling room in Bedford town centre, close to the bus station and public carparks.

Please call or email me to set up a free, no commitment, 10 minute zoom call. We would then arrange a convenient time to hold an initial consultation to explore what you are looking for from counselling and whether we can work together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
