About me

Welcome to my profile. Are you feeling sad, depressed, anxious or worried? These are the main causes of an unfulfilled life.  If you are finding life a struggle or feeling you have lost your identity, then I can help. I can offer you a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can be listened to empathically.

I firmly believe that working with a Counsellor can lead to real change in your life. So whether you are adjusting to life’s changes or trying to overcome loss, I can help.

I am a professional, qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor.  I am a registered member of the BACP and my work is bound by their Ethical Framework. I work integratively, combining my psychodynamic background with a person-centred approach, to help people overcome their fears and move forward with their life more confidently.

I have counselling experience of working with adults of all ages, including young people and older adults. I have worked as a volunteer counsellor for The Counselling Foundation and at Bedford Counselling and Training, where I am currently a Trustee.

I offer weekly 50 minute sessions, working short-term, usually 6 or 12 weeks, or long-term, individual therapy.

I work either in-person or online sessions on zoom.  I work from a Counselling Centre in Bedford town centre, close to the bus station and public carparks.

Please call or email me to set up a free, no commitment, 15 minute telephone conversation. We would then arrange a convenient time to hold an initial consultation to explore what you are looking for from counselling and whether we can work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have experience in working with a diverse group of clients with a range of issues, including general anxiety, loss, relationship problems, coping with terminal illness and bereavement.

  • Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
